Security advice for ProCall 6 Enterprise and ProCall 7 Enterprise

PROCALL ENTERPRISE MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOOTING UPDATE

A vulnerability in the ProCall client for Windows chat implementation could allow attackers with access to ProCall Enterprise chat functionality over the network to execute commands through a chat message.

Security advisory: ProCall Enterprise remote code execution vulnerability (http)

Affected versions:

  • 7.0 (all sub-versions)
  • 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 (all sub-versions)

estos has already released updates with fixes for the vulnerability. Customers and partners can obtain the updates via the known channels and follow the normal update process.

Manage lines in ProCall Enterprise

Startup lines automatically

You do not necessarily have to manually activate or deactivate lines for the UCServer.
Lines are automatically/dynamically put into operation if there is an activated user for this line. 

Lines automatically transferred to the MultiLine TSP

Lines do not have to be transferred manually to the MultiLine TSP individually. You can transfer the lines automatically and have them read out dynamically. 

Assign multiple locations and line groups

If you manage multiple sites, you do not have to manually assign the individual lines to the correct site, but can automatically assign line groups to the correct site in UCServer Administration.

Use regular expressions

PROCALL ENTERPRISE RULES REGEX REGEXP PHONE NUMBER FORMATTING SEARCH REPLACE 

Regular expressions (RegExp or Regex) are used to search strings for a certain pattern. For example, you can use the regular expressions to perform functions such as Search/Replace by... or the application of rules for phone number formatting. Distinguish between internal or external calls and specify adjustments for incoming or outgoing calls in more detail based on specific criteria. 

Here are some examples and notes on how to apply these rules in ProCall Enterprise. 

An example of how you can use regular expressions also for filtering/deleting for replication with contacts in MetaDirectory:

IN PRACTICE 

Workaround for "Replicators fail with MetaDirectory 5.0.9.10815"

METADIRECTORY  REPLICATORS EXACT ONLINE REGEXP PHONE NUMBER FORMATTING SEARCH REPLACE 

In MetaDirectory Enterprise version 5.0.9, replication for Exact Online, Microsoft CRM, Microsoft EWS, and Salesforce may fail and EIComContactReplicator.exe crashes. This behavior can be identified by the error message in the MetaDirectory log files: ReplicatorManagerQueue;Replicator reported an unknown error: C0000005.

Until the problem is solved, we have worked out a workaround that you can use to restore replication
