Since 27/10/2022 the new ProCall 8 Enterprise software is available. What can be expected from the new major release and how will the newly available features and possibilities be used or set up?

ProCall 8 Enterprise and the new SIP trunk registration (via SIP system networking) – enabling softphone functions
PROCALL ENTERPRISE COMMISSIONING SOFTPHONE SIP PBX TELEPHONE SYSTEM REGISTRAR
As of ProCall 8 Enterprise, it is now also possible to map the SIP softphone functionality via SIP system networking ("SIP trunk").
Thus, ProCall Enterprise now offers both connection variants SIP extension (subscriber registration) and SIP trunk (system networking), which can also be used in combination.
The new SIP trunk registration is initially supported for the following telephone systems, others will follow: innovaphone, Unify OpenScape 4000.

New editor in ProCall 8 Enterprise – adjustments to the call window for contact details
PROCALL ENTERPRISE COMMISSIONING CONFIGURATION CALL WINDOW EDITOR BUSINESS PROCESS INTEGRATION SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The contact details and the contact display in the call window get a new look.
Since ProCall 8 Enterprise, knowledge of XSLT and programming is no longer required to customize ProCall call windows and contact details. A web editor developed specifically for this purpose now offers the option of configuring the contact details individually conveniently via a web page with little effort.
Requirements are:
- Microsoft Edge Browser
- or WebView2-runtime (based on Chromium)

PROCALL ENTERPRISE COMMISSIONING CONFIGURATION UCCONNECT CLIENT FOR WINDOWS VPN-LESS PROCALL MOBILITY SERVICES REMOTE WORKING MOBILE WORKING
The ProCall client for Windows can also be used outside the company network without a VPN connection ("VPN-less").
New with ProCall 8 Enterprise, this is simplified through the use of UCConnect or ProCall Mobility Services licenses.
The Mobility Services licenses simplify the commissioning of ProCall mobile apps and the connection of the ProCall client for Windows via the internet. Those who already use ProCall Mobility Services automatically receive the connection to the ProCall client for Windows at no additional cost.
The licenses are device-independent, i.e. with one license several smartphones of one user can use the apps simultaneously as well as the ProCall client for Windows can connect via the internet:

PROCALL ENTERPRISE UPGRADE MAINTENANCE LICENSE LICENSING SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE UCCONNECT
As of ProCall 8 Enterprise 8.0, licenses are no longer managed in UCServer, but (together with software maintenance contracts such as SPV and SA) via UCConnect.
For this online licensing you need:
- a UCConnect account in the UCConnect portal under https://portal.ucconnect.de
- a permanently stable internet connection between UCServer and UCConnect

Can I easily change the user name in ProCall Enterprise?
PROCALL ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATION USER ADMINISTRATION UCSERVER USERNAME ACTIVE DIRECTORY
Whether and how you can change a user name for ProCall Enterprise (for example, in the case of a name change after a marriage) depends on whether you use file-based user management or user management via Active Directory in ProCall.

How can I change/reset the admin password in MetaDirectory administrator?

In case you want to reset the admin password for MetaDirectory administrator and assign a new password, we have described the procedure for you in an article, via which registry entry you can delete the password.
Please note that changes in the registry and MetaDirectoryServer.xml require special expertise and access rights.
