ProCall 8 Enterprise Release 8.6 Feature Update - Was ist neu?
PROCALL ENTERPRISE FEATURE UPDATE 8.6 RELEASE NEW FEATURES
With Version 8.6 of ProCall 8 Enterprise, there is an update available with numerous new functions. Here is a brief overview of the most important new features:
In the ProCall app for web (preview):
- Control desk phone directly via the ProCall App for Web in the browser: All available TAPI lines are displayed, manage TAPI calls easily via the application
- Second calls: Second calls are now supported on both SIP and TAPI lines.
- Additional reactions in the chat
- Authorizations for services (e.g. start chat, share content, softphone,...) can be individually defined in the UCServer administration and appliedspecifically to individual users, groups or globally for all users.
- The desired analysis period and log level for log files can now be selected in the settings for error analysis.
- Improved accessibility and user experience: Description texts, graphics, colors, contrasts, optimization for screen readers and keyboard control options have been revised within the application to further improve accessibility in accordance with BITV 2.0.
Revised login pages: The login now takes place in two steps.

ProCall Voice Services as an add-on to ProCall 8.6: Ringing strategy now sequential as well as parallel
PROCALL VOICE SERVICES CLOUD PBX ACCEPT CALL NEW FEATURE RINGING STRATEGY
Never miss a call to the group: Previously, Cloud PBX ProCall Voice Services offered the option of displaying incoming calls to a defined group by ringing all registered group members at the same time. Each subscriber can simply answer the call.
A new feature is the option to set up sequential ringing as an alternative . The incoming call is always delivered to the first group member. If the call is not answered after 15 seconds,the second group member receives the call and so on.
You can set the desired ringing strategy in the UCServer administration under call group.
The new function is available from ProCall Voice Services version 2410.0 as an add-on to ProCall Enterprise 8.6 since .

Web proxy support in MetaDirectory Enterprise
METADIRECTORY ENTERPRISE NETWORK INTERFACES PROXY ADMINISTRATION CONFIGURATION
Since version 6.1.0 of estos MetaDirectory Enterprise, web proxy support is available which makes it possible to establish secure and efficient communication on the Internet.
A web proxy is a network service that mediates between a client and the Internet. The client's requests are sent to the web proxy, which then forwards them to the requested web servers on behalf of the client and returns the server's responses to the client. The main advantage of a web proxy is the improvement in network security, as the proxy monitors the connection to the Internet and can therefore prevent unwanted access and malware attacks. A web proxy also enables efficient use of network resources, as frequently requested data is stored in the proxy's cache and can be delivered quickly when required.
Due to further product improvements,Quality Release 6.1.1.14085 is strongly recommended for operation via a web proxy.
The configuration data for the Internet connection via a proxy server is stored in MetaDirectory Administration under the menu itemExtras - Network interfaces - Proxy settings:

31 December 2024: EOL End-of-Life for ProCall 7 Enterprise and MetaDirectory 5 Enterprise
PRODUKTLEBENSZYKLUS ABKÜNDIGUNG END-OF-MAINTENANCE END-OF-LIFE UPDATE MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATION
ProCall 7 Enterprise and MetaDirectory 5 Enterprisewill reach End-of-Life (EoL)onDecember 31 , 2024.
No further software changes will be made and the provision of documentation, product information and installation packages will be discontinued.
The period for using the ProCall mobile apps for iOS and Android in connection with ProCall 7 Enterprise or ProCall Business ends on 31 May 2025. May 2025.
After this date, users with ProCall 7 Enterprise or ProCall Business can no longer log in to the ProCall mobile apps. Provision of the ProCall mobile apps - End of Life
