Supported telephone systems for estos ProCall

The overview shows the telephone systems and Cloud PBX that can be used for ProCall Enterprise and ProCall Business.

- In principle, estos ProCall Enterprise supports the use of all third-party TAPI drivers for controlling telephones. In addition, the telephone system can be connected with ECSTA.
- ProCall Business supports the connection for third party TAPI drivers for selected PBXs. The ECSTA for freely given telephone systems are integrated in ProCall Business.
- Information on older telephone systems supported by estos ECSTA is archived at https://www.estos.com/products/ecsta-series.
- In the following list you will find the information about estos ProCall Enterprise versions from version 6.0 or ProCall Business from 21H1.
With the MultiVendor strategy, ProCall basically supports interoperability and collaboration with telephone systems from different vendors. (on-premises and cloud PBX).
How will interoperability in the telephone system be technically implemented in ProCall?
Depending on the telephone system, ProCall variant (Business, Enterprise, DataCenter) and technical requirements or integration depth, the connection/communication between ProCall and telephone system(s) is realized via the following standards/connection options:
Use case CTI (Computer Telephony Integration/Computer Assisted Telephony)
- TAPI or TSP (TAPI Service Provider)
uses the TAPI interface or works together with the respective system TSP - ECSTA (CSTA middleware from estos specifically developed for certain telephone systems)
- ECSTA for SIP phones (TAPI driver specifically developed by estos for certain SIP end devices)
- TAPI or TSP (TAPI Service Provider)
Use case telephony via computer/smartphone
- SIP softphone functionality (integrated softphone functionality for VoIP telephony)
