Improvements
Bug fixes
  • A problem in the withdrawn release ProCall Enterprise 8.3.0 has been fixed: Problems with certificates on the web service had meant that mobile apps, for example, could no longer log in or that softphone functionality was generally no longer available.

    Background information

The background was an update of the Web Service in version 8.3.0 with stricter guidelines for obsolete certificate properties, e.g. when using PKCS#7 with a symmetric algorithm such as RC2.
Affected were old UCServer self-signed certificates (to replace please https://wiki.estos.de/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=820707450 or other self-issued or purchased certificates that had outdated features.
After this update, the UCServer web service will allow the use of these certificates again.

Even after this update, you should check whether compatibility problems can be avoided by exchanging such a certificate and replacing it with a certificate with newer encryption algorithms.

    Sources and reasons: https://www.openssl.org/news/openssl-3.0-notes.html
"All of the low-level AES, Blowfish, Camellia, CAST, DES, IDEA, RC2, RC4, RC5 and SEED cipher functions have been deprecated."
