Welcome to ProCall 8 Enterprise 8.5 - Feature Update 2406

In the latest version of the ProCall App for Web, which is currently available as a preview version, numerous functions have been added and existing ones improved;

The latest feature update also expands the possibilities for collaboration of ProCall with other telephone systems and headsetsFor Mitel MiVoice Business with support for softphone functions and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) with SIP trunk connection.

With the new version 8.5, additional headsets from Jabra and Yealink  have also been successfully tested for use with ProCall Client for Windows.

Neues in der ProCall App für Web (Preview)

The latest preview version of the ProCall app for Web features exciting new features and improvements that significantly enhance the user experience.

One of the most striking enhancements concerns the telephony and video chat functions: users can now forward softphone calls, ask questions and toggle between calls. The softphone call window  itself has also been improved to simplify handling and increase clarity. In addition, the display of the quality of voice and image transmission has been integrated into the call window, resulting in more transparent communication and identification of possible sources of error. For video chats it is now also possible to use virtual backgrounds .

Another important aspect of the update is the improved accessibility, especially in the navigation menu and chat, which makes the app more accessible for all users.

So that users are always informed about new updates,there are now also release notes available in the ProCall app for web.

From now on, an improved error logging will contribute to the continuous optimization of the app, enabling us to automatically record program sequences and errors.
In order to further improve performance and user-friendliness, usage information is collected and analyses of user behavior are carried out. These measures enable us to make targeted improvements to functionality The updates have been incorporated into the Privacy Policy of the ProCall App for Web accordingly.

All these improvements make the ProCall app for web an even more powerful tool for professional communication.

SIP trunk connection for Cisco UCM Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) - PREVIEW

With ProCall 8.5 Enterprise it is now possible to use the softphone functions via SIP system networking (e.g. Native Trunk) also forCisco UCM. e.g. Native Trunk) also for the Cisco UCM to use. This means that subscriber licenses no longer need to be purchased on the PBX side.
The SIP trunk connection for Cisco UCM Unified Communications Manager is available as a Preview. There may still be functional restrictions.

For the ProCall Enterprise Clients for Windows the version 8.5 the following headsets from Jabra and Yealink were tested and included in the overview of compatible third-party products :

Improvements and bug fixes

ProCall Enterprise (Core)


New functions
  • The connection of SIP individual registrations to Mitel MiVoice Business is supported.
  • The search node in the ProCall Client for Windows for "MetaDirectory when connecting via UCConnect" is now displayed with a corresponding hint text in the tooltip.
  • The list of tested headsets has been updated.
Bug fixes
  • A problem has been solved in which the use of administrative call forwarding was ignored for lines newly added to the line group when the client was logged out of the mailbox.
  • Fixed a problem with the ProCall Client for Windows when the connection to the UCServer was switched between VPN-less and direct connection (automatically) during a call (audio/video). In this case, the call window was closed.
Improvements and bug fixes to the ChatApp
  • Barrier-free use of the ChatApp has been improved to increase accessibility for all users.
  • Texts from other applications and gif files can be copied and pasted into the chat as text or as a gif file.
  • The display when sending files in the chat has been improved.
  • The use of hyperlinks in the chat has been improved.
  • Various bugs have been fixed.

This applies from  to the use of the mobile apps within a ProCall 7 Enterprise installation. These can therefore no longer be used in a ProCall 7 Enterprise environment from this date.

ProCall App for Microsoft Teams

  • The Azure Application Insights application is used to optimize performance and user-friendliness.
  • The Grafana Loki application is used for the automatic recording of the program sequence and errors. 
  • The privacy policy  for the ProCall app for Microsoft Teams has been expanded to include the points mentioned above.
