Update recommended! Security notice for installation programs - Microsoft WiX Installer Toolset
SECURITY ADVISORY PROCALL ENTERPRISE METADIRECTORY ENTERPRISE ANALYTICS UPDATE TROUBLESHOOTING MAINTENANCE UCSERVER
The WiX function RemoveFolderEx allows protected directories to be deleted when used by users with restricted rights using directory junctions when administrators run the installer (CVE-2024-29188).
Using the insecure C:\Windows\Temp directory allows users with low privileges to place binaries that can later be executed with SYSTEM privileges (CVE-2024-29187).
This vulnerability affects all previously released versions of the installers of ProCall 8 Enterprise/ProCall 7 Enterprise (add-ons only) as well as MetaDirectory 6 Enterprise and ProCall Analytics 3.

In ProCall 8 Enterprise 8.4 you can use the new ProCall App for Web as of now in the Preview version get to know! With the new Web client can ProCall can be used directly in the browser . .
In ProCall Chat you can now respond to chat messages with reactions your emotions such as applause or thank you. For those who need to be connected and reachable on the go, the ProCall app for iOS offers the option of displaying ProCall on the car display and operating it using voice control, touch or the steering wheel button thanks to the Apple CarPlay integration. The Remote Desktop Mode creates a significant improvement in audio quality in terminal server environments by reducing the load on softphone calls and audio chats. In addition to the subscriber extension (SIP extension), ProCall now also supports the SIP system networking for the Unify OpenScape Business. And last but not least, new features for the add-on ProCall Voice Services ensure that no call is lost.

estos data backup concept for IT administrators - type and scope of the data to be backed up
ESTOS BACK UP CONCEPT ADMINISTRATION DATA SAFETY RECOVERY BACKUP
To ensure the security, stability and recoverability of an IT system, IT administrators should create data backup concepts .
So that you in the IT administration have an appropriate guide at your disposal, we have developed a data backup plan with specifications (type and scope of data to be backed up) for estos products such as ProCall DataCenter, ProCall Enterprise, ProCall Business, Mobile Apps, ECSTA and MetaDirectory.
The data backup plan is an application-specific subset with technical information for creating data backups and restoring systems. This concept should be integrated into a customer-specific data backup concept that is generally valid for IT operations:

Server configuration in the ProCall Client workstation settings - what options are there?
PROCALL ENTERPRISE CONFIGURATION ADMINISTRATION
There are various ways to store the ProCall Enterprise Client configuration to be addressed ProCall Enterprise Server:
- Server address or DNS service location record is configured via MSI installation package parameters during setup on the client.
- A user with administrative rights configures the server address or the DNS service location record via ProCall Enterprise workstation settings for all users on this Microsoft Windows client host.
- A user without administrative rights configures the server address or the DNS service location record via ProCall Enterprise workstation settings for themselves on the Microsoft Windows client host.
- When ProCall Enterprise Client is running via ProCall Enterprise menu item Logon account... in the tray icon.
