When performing the update, please follow the Performing a UCServer update within a product version

Update notes

  • If you are updating from a ProCall DataCenter version <= 2303.x, please note the update instructions for version 2306.0.
  • When updating from versions <=2210.5 to a version >= 2403.0, you must update to one of the two versions 2306.0 or 2310.0 as an intermediate step so that the contents of the configuration database are migrated correctly with regard to line management.
  • When updating from versions <=2403.x to a version >= 2406.0, all servers of the multi-server network must be terminated and the configuration database must be updated using an individually provided script before the UCServer updates can be continued.

New functions

  • New authorization function: Group-to-group authorization

    • The option of assigning authorizations across groups has been created. In addition to the existing option of assigning authorizations within groups, it is now possible to assign rights to users in user group A for users in user group B. Rights can be assigned separately in both directions: if a user from user group A has a right to a user from user group B, this does not automatically mean that this user also has the same rights to the user in user group A. Please also refer to the documentation at Setting up and using group-to-group permissions
    • The group-to-group authorization is available for all types of user administration (Active Directory, SQL-based user administration, ...), versions with/without schema extension and in connection with the UM replicator.
    • The group-to-group permissions can be checked in a central view (just like the user permissions).
    • The AD schema extension tool has been adapted for use with group-to-group permissions.
  • PREVIEW: Softphone conference with more than three participants
A conference module is now available that allows the creation of softphone conferences with more than three participants. The lines provided for this can be configured via the UCServer administration.

    PREVIEW!

The conference server feature is available as a preview version. There are still limitations in terms of functionality and quality. We are continuously working on further development anddo not yet recommend its use in productive environments.
It has only been tested in conjunction with a Mitel MiVoice MX-ONE and SIP Extension connection (SIP participant registration, individual registration) .
Please note the information and set-up instructions under Softphone conference with more than three participants - Setting up and using the conference server ( PREVIEW)
  • Export of SIP lines
A function has been added that enables the export of SIP lines.

SIP line passwords are not exported (for security reasons).

Improvements

  • Improvements to the performance when loading users into the UCServer administration
  • Improvements to the performance when loading the line settings (of your own and other servers in the network) when starting the UCServer
  • Performance improvements when loading information from the connected Redis database when starting the UCServer
  • Performance improvements when processing the first line for the first time after creating a new gateway

Bug fixes

  • A procedure for cyclically checking endpoints has been introduced in Redis to ensure that the endpoint information is correct. In the event of a correction, the event is logged.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the UCServer administration to crash if a line was edited by an administrator in multi-admin mode that was deleted in parallel by another administrator or the ECSTA.
  • Fixed a problem that occurred when starting the UCServer and caused login requests from clients connected via UCWeb (ProCall App for Web, Mobile Clients, ...) to be incorrectly answered with response code 401.
These are now answered with response code 502.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the connection to be closed with the previous settings when changing the connection settings to the multi-server database and these were updated by the connection test before they were successfully checked.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented TLS authentication from being possible on the UCServer administration interface when the network interface was bound. Authentication with TLS is now preferably based on the explicitly specified DNS name.

  • To do this, it must be ensured that a DNS name has been defined in the network interface and that the DNS name can resolve to the selected network interface.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented databases from being deleted if their names contained a dash (-).
  • Fixed a bug that caused all line groups to be expanded in the line management when creating a SIP line.
  • A bug has been fixed that caused the line statuses in the UCServer administration to be displayed incorrectly in some cases.

Behavioral changes

  • Federation is no longer supported under DataCenter.
