Security advice
When performing the update, please follow the Performing a UCServer update within a product version.

Update notes

  • If you are updating from a ProCall Infinity (DataCenter) version <= 2303.x, please note the update instructions for version 2306.0.
  • When updating from versions <=2210.5 to a version >= 2403.0, you must update to one of the two versions 2306.0 or 2310.0 as an intermediate step so that the contents of the configuration database are migrated correctly with regard to line management.
  • When updating from versions <=2403.x to a version >= 2406.0, all servers of the multi-server network must be terminated and the configuration database must be updated using an individually provided script before the UCServer updates can be continued.

ProCall Infinity (DataCenter) 2603.1 (Build 8.9.3.12082)

Security advice

  • This update resolves a critical security vulnerability relating to the underlying open-source Node.js version in the local UCServer web service (UCWeb).
Details regarding affected versions, severity and recommended actions can be found in the security advisory:
Security advisory for Open Source node.js in UCWeb

Improvements

UCServer

  • Optimised UCWeb performance by reducing CPU usage in internal background processes.
  • Optimised management of UCServer background tasks to ensure consistent and stable operation.
  • Improved stability in UCServer when there are a large number of users, and automatic user distribution following a server failure – the server remains reliably responsive even under heavy load.
  • The UCServer was stabilised under high load by decoupling write operations for manual presence status and notes from the central scheduler. This reduces delays in relocation scenarios and ensures that the system remains more robust.
  • UCServer now processes Redis heartbeat events in a decoupled manner within a separate queue/thread structure. This ensures that heartbeat updates remain more stable even when event processing is delayed, thereby improving cluster robustness under load.

Chat in ProCall

  • It is now easier to set reactions. The emoji picker stays open while you are selecting.
  • Links and email addresses are now recognised correctly in the chat history and trigger the appropriate action.
  • Emojis can now be inserted seamlessly into the text of a chat message without interrupting text input.
  • Chats can now be launched more reliably directly from the Contacts widget.

Bug fixes

UCServer

  • The severity assignment in UCServer logging has been corrected: INFO entries are now written correctly.

Chat in ProCall

  • An issue has been resolved where participants could not be removed from group chats.
  • An issue has been resolved where participants in group chats were not displayed correctly in the Contacts widget.
  • An issue has been resolved where image uploads in group chats could fail after a previous image upload in the group chat had been cancelled.
  • A bug has been fixed whereby the action "Open chat in MS Teams" did not open the relevant Teams conversation.
  • An issue has been resolved where the file preview was not displayed correctly for certain file sizes.
