Background

With Windows, there are different technical options for integrating ProCall as a standard application for selected actions. Depending on the depth of the integration, different interfaces are used here.

Microsoft Office/Outlook Integration

For Microsoft Office/Outlook integration for locally installed applications, a ProCall DLL is set as DefaultIMApp via the Windows Registry. Microsoft Office / Outlook uses this DLL to perform actions on contacts or to synchronize presence.

The behavior of the integration depends on the version and variant of the installed Microsoft Office product.
