What is new?
Highlights
ProCall Web now remembers your preferred audio and video devices. Your microphone, speakers, and camera are saved in a history list. After a restart or reconnection, the app automatically selects the last available device you used; if you switch between working from home and the office, the app will move to the next available option in the list if the previous device is unavailable.
Improvements
Telephony
- For SIP and TAPI lines with the same phone number and TAPI lines that are not suppressed (on the server), the selected line is now persisted after a reload or reconnect.
Accessibility
- In the contact widget, muted chats are now correctly announced by screen readers.
- Older chat messages can be reloaded using the keyboard (up arrow) without “keyboard traps.”
Chat
- Messages written during a server outage are automatically sent in the correct order once the connection is restored.
User Interface
- A misleading red error banner no longer appears when a presence state query for individual users fails. Details are now logged internally only.
- The font size and color in the contact widget have been updated to match the design.
- A missing separator line after the menu item "contact information" has been added to the call history context menu.
Bug fixes
Telephony
- When switching between two simultaneous external calls, the first call answered can now be retrieved after being placed on hold. Resuming the call now works reliably.
- The notepad can be reopened during an active conference via the “More” → “Note” menu.
- Calls are once again listed correctly in the “Calls” section of the contact widget.
- The presence status is now displayed correctly in the call window.
Chat
- The email and calendar buttons are working correctly again in group chats—both via contact information and via the three-dot menu.
Coming Up in July
With the new Contacts tab you can manage your most important contacts and contact groups in one place. Create groups and organize contacts easily using drag and drop. Recent contacts and quick search help you find and add contacts faster. All changes stay synchronized with your contacts and favorites across other ProCall clients.
As ProCall Web is under continuous development, unannounced changes are possible.
Ongoing softphone calls or audio/video chats may be interrupted if you update the app during a call.
Even when closing or reloading the browser tab in which ProCall Web is displayed, ongoing calls are terminated.
Please note that the appearance and the options for use/setup may vary depending on the browser variant used.
