ProCall NEX

You can set up groups in ProCall NEX and assign authorisations there.

A group can be additionally defined as a hunt group.

User Group

In an authorisation group, the members are assigned extended authorisations.

In addition, a group leader can be defined, who receives separate authorisations.

Authorisation groups do not have any telephony functions.

In the "Services" tab, for example, access to journal entries can be permitted.

Function buttons and monitor content can be specified.

Information on the settings and functions can be found in the integrated manual via the "Help" button.

Hunt groups (call group)

A hunt group is a combination of "call group" and the above mentioned "authorisation group" and is set up in the telephone system.

A collection group requires its own telephone number.
Incoming calls are signalled to the registered members.

Ringing strategy

How the signalling is carried out must be defined under "Ringing strategy":
Example screenshot Settings for group - Collective group - Group settings - Define ringing strategy - parallel, sequential, queue

ParallelAn incoming call is signalled simultaneously to all registered group members.
SequentialThe incoming call is only forwarded to one group member at a time. If the call is not answered by this user within 15 seconds, the call is forwarded to the next active member of the group and so on.
The order in which they are passed on corresponds to the member list in the members tab of a group and can also be changed there.
QueueIncoming calls are accepted and put on hold immediately. The calls are forwarded to the registered agents in a defined order. The queue is configured exclusively in the Web Admin of the telephone system.

Registration for collection groups

In order for an incoming call to a hunt group to be signalled to a group member, the member must be logged into the group;

Members of the groups have a button in the ProCall Client to log in and out of the groups.

All ProCall users can see the respective status in the favourites and the monitor.

DeviceOnly users in groups

Gruppen in ProCall NEX users are created if only one telephone/end device is to be set up without a ProCall user;

DeviceOnly users can be members of collective groups. However, no authorisations apply here, as it is not a ProCall user.

Log in and log out of the group

It is possible to log in and out of the group via the telephone menu on the end device
In this case, the status is reset with a restart or update of the UCServer to"not logged in"..

If an end device is to be permanently logged on to a group as a "DeviceOnly" user, it must log on to the UCServer ONCE.

Control of "DeviceOnly" users in ProCall.

Make the "DeviceOnly" user a "ProCall NEX" user and log in.
Log the user in to the group and log the user out again.

For a DeviceOnly user, the group status is not displayed in the favourites or the monitor because the user is not logged in to ProCall.

The SIP address is displayed as the "Name". It is not possible to control the line or pick up calls from this contact.

Control the "DeviceOnly" users in ProCall

In order to control a DeviceOnly device, the "line" of this device must be made available to the users:

Example screenshot - Settings for users - Additional lines - Grant authorisation for access to lines

To do this, select the desired phone number under Users on the "Additional lines" tab and assign the authorisations.

Users must have the "Show group lines" option activated on the ProCall Client.

The assigned lines are displayed in a new group.
This "contact" can be copied to the monitor and/or other groups.

The enabled CTI functions are available in the context menu of the entry.
