State of knowledge

November 2020

According to our knowledge, the following telephone systems can be used for the Remote Office function.

A test instruction to check the compatibility can be found here at Test Remote Office Emulation.

Natively supported

The following platforms support Remote Office on the platform, so the function is not performed by emulation, but natively.

Broadsoft

Remote Office is made available for the Broadsoft platform via the ECSTA for Broadsoft.

Remote Office Emulation

Remote Office Emulation was tested and released by estos on the following platforms:

Siemens/Unify/Telekom

HiPath 3000/OpenScape Business/Octopus

In connection with a current ECSTA for Siemens HiPath 3000/ OpenScape Business family (for all PBX systems that can be connected with this driver) Remote Office can be used without any restrictions.

Example: Unify OpenScape Business, Siemens HiPath 3000, identical Telekom Octopus series

HiPath 4000/OpenScape 4000/Octopus

In connection with a current ECSTA (for all PBX systems that can be connected with this driver) Remote Office can be used with the following restrictions

  • After transferring the call between the remote office phone and the destination number, a call is created on the business phone in the dial tone state. This call is automatically terminated by the UCServer after 500msec.
  • As long as the destination party has not answered the call, the music on hold of the PBX can be heard on the Remote Office device.

For the feature to work correctly, the following settings must be made in the system configuration:

  • The exchange circuit must have the "UELM" feature in the COT.
  • The exchange circuit as well as the subscriber must have the feature "UENW" in the COS.
  • The VAMTAMT must be set to "YES" in the ZAND –DATENAL.

innovaphone

In connection with a current innovaphone TAPI driver, Remote Office can be used without restrictions.

Panasonic

NS1000 / NSX

In connection with a current ECSTA, Remote Office can be used without restrictions if the permissions for call forwarding and transfer in the office have been assigned.

Avaya

IP Office 500 V2

In connection with a current Avaya IP Office TAPI driver, Remote Office can be used without restrictions.

Alcatel-Lucent

OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE)

In combination with the latest ECSTA, Remote Office can be used without restrictions.

Due to the complexity of the telephone system, the PBX administrator should be consulted in the event of problems.

Mitel/DeTeWe

OpenCom 100* and OpenCom 1000

After the call is transferred between the Remote Office phone and the destination number, a call is made on the business phone in the dial tone state (LH/FS) until the call is answered on the Remote Office device.

The user needs the appropriate permissions, especially external call forwarding.

*For Open Com 100 EndOfLife has been announced for 31/3/2018 by the manufacturer.

Not supported

Due to missing functionality on the platform side, Remote Office cannot be offered for the following platforms at the moment according to our knowledge.

Auerswald

Commander 6000

With the Auerswald Commander 6000, it is only possible to transfer the call after call acceptance at the destination party. Remote Office can therefore not be offered for this platform.
