Import configuration data / data import

In the course of a migration/update or upgrade, a data export is inevitably made.

How can this data export then be used again as an import and what do I have to watch out for?

The settings to be imported depend on the created data export. Settings that were not checked during the export cannot be imported.
In addition, there are differences in the import depending on the user administration used.

Procedure in the UCServer administration

Import data

An import is done via the UCServer admin, to do this select the previously exported file in the UCServer admin under "File" data import:

Next, the detected settings are displayed.
(Here in this sample from a complete data export = all settings have been saved).

User Administration in Active Directory

If an Active Directory is used as user administration, the corresponding items are grayed out, since all required information is available in the AD and the connection to the AD is also available in the saved configuration data.

Users/groups/computers

If the configuration data is not imported, the users/groups/computers can also be imported here with an AD connection.
