What is new?

Highlights

Improved accessibility and user-friendliness in the web client. Telephone numbers are now displayed in a more readable format and are correctly recognised as telephone numbers by screen readers . In addition,  keyboard navigation has been improved: All modal windows  can now be closed consistently using the ESC key , with the focus subsequently being correctly reset to the triggering element.

Improvements

  • Phone numbers are now displayed throughout the Web Client in a consistent and more readable format.
  • Improved support for screen readers: Telephone numbers are now correctly recognised as telephone numbers and read aloud accordingly (BITV2 compliance).
  • All modal windows can now be closed using the ESC key . Once closed, the keyboard focus reliably returns to the element that triggered the modal.
  • The chat search now only shows contacts with whom you can actually chat or with whom you already have a chat history.
  • The Contact widget has been optimised for non-UCServer users by hiding unavailable sections such as StatusChat and Media have been removed.
  • The Calls tab now offers improved loading behaviour with clearer feedback whilst loading.

Bug fixes

  • An issue has been resolved where participants could not be removed from group chats.
  • A bug has been fixed where the action “Open chat in MS Teams” did not open the relevant Teams conversation.
  • An issue has been resolved where the call history in the Calls tab was no longer being updated.
  • A bug has been fixed where the presence status during WebRTC audio calls was displayed incorrectly.
  • An accessibility issue has been resolved where keyboard focus was lost after leaving a group chat whilst a screen reader was active.
  • The contact widget will no longer be displayed for withheld or anonymous numbers.
  • An issue involving long loading times and a faulty layout when opening the Calls tab has been resolved.
  • A bug has been fixed whereby searching in the  Calls section returned no results when searching for phone numbers or partial sequences.
  • An issue has been resolved where  call switching during a consultation call failed and could cause the web app to crash.
  • A bug has been fixed whereby the list “Frequently contacted contacts” in the query window was displayed as empty or incomplete.

Coming Up

With the new Contacts tab you can manage your most important contacts and contact groups in one place. Create groups and organize contacts easily using drag and drop. Recent contacts and quick search help you find and add contacts faster. All changes stay synchronized with your contacts and favorites across other ProCall clients.

As ProCall Web is under continuous development, unannounced changes are possible.
Ongoing softphone calls or audio/video chats may be interrupted if you update the app during a call.
Even when closing or reloading the browser tab in which ProCall Web is displayedongoing calls are terminated.

Please note that the appearance and the options for use/setup may vary depending on the browser variant used.
