Pairing between Apple CarPlay, iPhones and ProCall Mobile app for iOS

With Apple CarPlay support, the ProCall app for iOS is able to display calls directly on the vehicle display. Using touch or Siri voice control, it is also possible to use ProCall while driving, for example to initiate calls. For business customers, the combination of AppleCarPlay, iPhones and the ProCall app for iOS offers added value when using company cars/company cars.

Supported functions

Incoming calls
  • For softphone, audio and video chats (video chats only as audio chat - without video image)
  • Display of the call on the car display
  • Accept/Reject/End the call
    • by pressing the corresponding buttons on the auto display
    • by pressing the phone up button on the steering wheel
Outgoing calls
  • For softphone calls
  • Starting a call with Siri voice control:
    • By (prolonged) pressing of the corresponding button on the steering wheel
    • By pressing the button in the Apple CarPlay app (from iOS 15)
    • With Siri voice control and voice commands such as: "Hey Siri, start a call to Lena Frisch via ProCall." or "Hey Siri, call Lena Frisch with ProCall."
  • Display of the call on the vehicle display
  • Ending the call
      • by pressing the corresponding buttons on the vehicle display
      • by pressing the phone up button on the steering wheel
    • Start callbacks on the vehicle display by pressing the corresponding entry in the call history
Call log
  • Chronologically sorted display

Requirements

  • ProCall Enterprise with UCServer version from 8.3
  • ProCall mobile app for iOS
  • Vehicle equipment with Apple CarPlay support
  • Mobile phone: iPhone paired with Apple CarPlay (via Bluetooth or USB)

The availability of functions depends, among other things, on the ProCall and ProCall mobile version, configuration and availability of Apple CarPlay, country, region, vehicle model and equipment, Siri voice support options and authorizations granted.
