Observation

 The ProCall Client setup can be executed on the Windows PCwithout error messages.

After installation, however, there is no installation directory for the ProCall Client (default C:\Program Files (x86)\estos\ProCall).
Microsoft Windows does not display ProCall in the installed apps

Procedure

  1. Switch on setup logging:
    Start the setup with logging switched on: Analyse error messages during installation
  2. Log analysis:
    Check the created log for the message "ERROR RemoveProductFromRegistry failed"
  3. Searching and cleaning the registry:
    Use the registry editor to search for entries that belong to estos and the previous version.
    Delete these entries.
    Example: the entry under Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products could still contain information on estos ProCall.
  4. Delete remaining installer files:
    Search for the corresponding installation files in the folder C:\Windows\Installer and remove them.
  5. Restart the system:
    Restart the PC.
  6. Execute setup again:
    Execute the Procall Client setup again.
