Disable TAPI line as default line – force softphone
State of knowledge

Version info: ProCall 8 Enterprise from version 8.3 ProCall DataCenter from 2310.0
Application area
For data protection reasons it is desired in some companies and authorities to prevent telephone calls via TAPI line, for example if employees in the home office use softphones and should not be able to control their desk phone/end device in the office from there. The aim is to prevent, for example, that an incoming call is inadvertently accepted on the TAPI line and that other participants in the office can accidentally or intentionally listen in on a telephone call and possibly on the caller's data.
TAPI line is deactivated as "default line".
Telephony functions for control via CTI such as call acceptance are then no longer possible on the TAPI line for terminals/table phones.
Incoming calls on the TAPI line are not signaled.
Softphone must be used for telephony.
Call forwarding for terminals/table telephones can still be set via CTI in the PBX.
Administratively adjustable via profiles
In the UCServer administration you find under Profile – Settings – Telephony the option "Prevent phone calls on TAPI line – Force softphone".
The option becomes active only if a softphone line has been assigned to the respective subscriber.
