Set up group journal/team journal for ProCall Enterprise
State of knowledge
August 2024
This article explains how to share journal entries with a group of users in the journal browser. This is often desired in connection with alternate workstations in order to provide the user present at the time with insights into what is happening in his or her absence.
Implement a group journal
In order to implement a group journal, you must assign all users who should have access to each other's journal via the journal browser to a user group in the UCServer and allow journal access within the group:
UCServer -> User management -> Groups -> Properties -> Services
Video Tutorial (only in German)
Once the configuration in the UCServer is complete, the option Public entries in the Journal browser must be activated in order to display phone calls of other estos ProCall users.
Private calls of other estos ProCall users are generally not displayed. If you want only your phone calls to be displayed, deactivate the Public entries option.
In the case of Active Directory as user administration, the 'P' mark in the 'Type' column indicates that this group is the user's primary group.
The group journal settings do not take effect in the primary group and must be implemented via another group (not the primary group).
