Upgrade process

Update of an existing ECSTA 6.x installation

No further preparations are required for the installation of Services Releases within a Major Release Version 6.x. The settings remain unchanged.

Unpack the ZIP archive and run the correct installation package (.msi file) for your operating system (32-bit or 64-bit.

Upgrade from ECSTA 5.x to Version 6.x

Please note that upgrade licenses are required for an upgrade (Change Major Release). 

When upgrading an existing ECSTA 5.x installation, all settings will be transferred to ECSTA 6.x, if possible. 

Upgrade from ECSTA 4.x to Version 6.x

Please note that upgrade licenses are required for an upgrade (Change Major Release). 

When upgrading an existing ECSTA 4.x installation, all settings will be transferred to ECSTA 6.x, if possible. 

Compatibility of estos products

When upgrading ECSTA to the latest version, please make sure that you update other estos products to a compatible version. This may require new or upgrade licenses. 

Always make a backup before making any changes to an existing installation.
