In this article you will see how ProCall reacts in case of login with wrong password – failed login attempts

UCServer user administration (file-based)

Authentication with UC password

After three incorrect login attempts

After three logins with wrong password the error message appears: :
"Too many failed login attempts. Try again in a few minutes."

Here follows 1 minute block for further login attempts.
All attempts made now do not work – even with correct password.
These attempts are also not counted.

After three more failed login attempts

After three more failed login attempts with the wrong password, the error message appears again:
"Too many failed login attempts. Try again in a few minutes."

Here follows 1 minute block for further login attempts.
All attempts made now do not work – even with correct password.
These attempts are also not counted.

After three more incorrect login attempts with the wrong password, the error message appears again:
"Too many failed login attempts. Try again in a few minutes."

After another login with wrong password

After another login with wrong password the following error message appears:
"Too many failed login attempts. Account must be unlocked again by the system administrator."

The user account has been deactivated in UCServer.
This must be reactivated by an administrator.

Windows domain authentication

After incorrect password input

ProCall Enterprise displays the error message in the client:
"The domain login has failed."

Even if multiple login attempts fail, the user will not be deactivated in the UCServer.

Please note that if the number of failed attempts is too high, settings in Active Directory may take effect.

ProCall Enterprise displays the error message in the client:
"The domain login has failed."
